SCSM 2012 Portal install error

All,

I am trying to install the SSP for SCSM 2012, but i am getting an error on "configure portal web site An Error occured when executing a custom action:_CreatePortalWebSite.11EE91AB_EABF_48A6_9973_4DCD73190AC6 ..."

When I look at the setup log I find the following "CreatePortalWebSite: Error: A specified logon session does not exist.  It may have already been terminated"  There is also an error status 1603 mentioned.

any ideas what is causing this?

Thanks, Darryl

Hi,

Are you installing the SSP with SSL? Can you attach the log file?

Hello Darryl,

Is it for a production environment or just for test purposes you are installing the Self-Service Portal?

If the second scenario is the case I would use the workaround of this thread. Creating a generic self-signed certificate and use that during your installation and after that switch back to your SSL certificate:

Btw, I noticed in your attached logs that your certificate also doesn't match to your name of the Self-Service P

It is for a production environment, I hadn't noticed the server names not matching, I will look into it, could that be causing the error?

I am having the same trouble in my production environment as well.  Our logs look almost identical, except my error is different

I have this exact error, so I tried the self signed cert option and got past that and then got a different error: "error occurred while executing a custom action:RollbackCleanup."

In the log is still 1603. Sigh.

This is how I fixed the RollbackCleanup error....

*Go to HKLM\System|CurrentControlSet\Control

*if the DWORD ServicesPipeTimeout does not exist, create it.

*Click Decimal and change the value to 600000

*Reboot

In my case, I had to create this DWORD. After install was successful, I removed it and rebooted.
