SCOM Subscriptions stopped working for subscription with a group in the criteria

Hi All,

We have a number of SCOM 2012R2 subscriptions that use groups as part of there criteria, at least one of these groups has stopped working and will not process alerts, using the tracing you can see that the server is unaware of any alerts for the subscription affected.

Taking the group out of the subscription fixes the issue but as this was working I am keen to get it fixed and understand the issue.

This subscription is for the health service and the group holds the windows computer object, so research suggests this might be incorrect but as mentioned it was working correctly until last night.

Please let me know if there is anything else I should be looking at, FYI I have restarted the servers and change the server sending the notifications with no change to the issue. I have also created a new group and a new subscription and that also did not work. The does also appear to be other 'issues' with groups in general since last night but this is more for new groups.

Many thanks,

Allan

Hi

It might be a start to look at Authoring, Groups and make sure the groups contain the members that you expect.

You should also look for errors in the operationsmanager event log about groupcalc.

However, you might also want to look at this to create groups that contain HSW + computer objects:
