I have a scom report that has a parameter, how do I use the wildcard charactors to filter the results which doesnot contain the character $

I tried -%$ (- used to exclude) it didn't work, should I use the report bulder to change the parameter to "doesn't equal" instead of equal to?

I would like to know that what report did you run, do you mean that you want to filter the report result with filter. If that is the case, then it seems like an SQL report coding issue, you may need to use report builder.

As far I can see, with SCOM report, when we add groups or objects or something else, we have three way to filter:
