SCOM Datawarehouse missing Objects

Hi,

Did someone encounter the issue of SCOM Datawarehoue to miss all (this is strange...) the Objects (All Events, Performance data.. ) that are generated by a SCOM GW? In SCOM Reporting you can not even find them when you search for the objects(so they are not in the DW).

All other object that are reporting direct to MS are there..

Any idea?

SCOM GW is a collection point which collects agent data and then report back to management server. Management Server store this data into operations Manager Database. Then data is periodic move its data from operations Manager DB into operations Manager DW.
1) Open the operations console
2) Navigate Monitoring Workspace --> Microsoft Windows Server -> Operating System Performance
3) Check whether agent which report to GW has performance Data
4) If no performance data is collected, check any error in event log in management performance data and Gateway Server
5) If performance data is collected, check any error in DB server event log.
6) Moreover, please brief steps which you taken in reporting workspace in concluding that SCOM Datawarehouse to miss all  (this is strange...) the Objects (All Events, Performance data.. ) that are generated by a SCOM GW

Hi,

Whether you can get performance report for those agents:

Under Reporting, expand Microsoft Generic Library report, performance.

Please run the following powershell-commands in the SCOM powershell interface of the affected management group:

get-SCOMClass -name:Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouseSynchronizationService|Get-ScomClassInstance

If no objects are returned it means that the workflows responsible for synchronizing data are not running.

More details:

SCOM DW not being updated with operational data?

Hello,

The issue was related to Event ID:      31553 Task Category: Data Warehouse
Data was written to the Data Warehouse staging area but processing failed on one of the subsequent operations.Exception 'SqlException': Sql execution failed. Error 8115, Level 16, State 1, Procedure ManagedEntityChange, Line 368, Message: Arithmetic overflow error converting IDENTITY to data type int.

Error appears to be related to CU:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2992020 to fix it,but you have to clean the database tables and to re-index some values from ManagedEntityStage , ManagedEntity, ManagedEntityProperty, ManagedEntityManagementGroup

Do not try this without MS support :)
