Hi

Did you install ReportViewer component http://blog.scomfaq.ch/2012/12/13/scom-2012-console-error-microsoft-enterprisemanagement-monitoring-console-exe/ ?

Have you installed all These prerequisites http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/c9edb732-d407-4ce3-9aa0-83f116aadd3c#BKMK_RBF_OperationsConsole

Operations Console

  • Disk space: %SYSTEMDRIVE% requires at least 512 MB free hard disk space.
  • File system: %SYSTEMDRIVE% must be formatted with the NTFS file system.
  • Server Operating System: must be Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, or Windows Server 2012.
  • Processor Architecture: must be x64 for servers and x64 or x86 for a client computer.
  • Windows Installer version: at least Windows Installer 3.1.
  • Windows PowerShell version: Windows PowerShell version 2.0. Windows PowerShell version 3.0 is required to use Windows PowerShell cmdlets for administration of UNIX and Linux computers.
  • .NET Framework 4 is required. For more information, see the following document:

Hi, Stefan!

Thank you for this checklist! I've verified it all and everything is ok. Actually I see that OMConsole.msi just didn't completed its job. I can see OM Console files deployed and shortcuts in "Start" menu...but I event can't see anything in "Programs and Features"! So I suppose that something wrong happenes during the first installation and now OMConsole unable to complete installation because some trash still in MSI database :(

Now when I try to run OMConsole.msi on my PC it shows first dialog with progress bar, quickly doing something and close installer...and in Event Log I just can see:

Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: System Center Operations Manager 2012 Console. Product Version: 7.1.10226.0. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation. Reconfiguration success or error status: 0.

I event can't uninstall it because it's not available in "Program and Files" :( Any ideas how to fix it?

Thank you!

Roman.
