SCOM 2012 R2 Notification failure

HI,

We have SCOM 2012 R2 installed with latest updates.

Email notification is working perfectly, in addition, we wanted to utilize our corporate SMS notification solution (accessed using .vbs script) to send SMS messages for high priority alerts.  we configured multiple command channels (SMS message to be sent to different administrator based on the system/service ownership criteria) to send SMS message to different administrators.

The SMS notification is not consistent in executing the script.  event log shows following event:

"Event ID 21410"

Maximum Number of Asynchronous Responses (5) has Been Reached.

after doing some research, we found a solution to modify the registry key to increase the decimal value.

On our Management Servers, modified the following keys:
1. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Operations Manager\3.0\Modules.
2. Create a new sub key called Global (if it does not already exist)
3. In Global create another new sub key called Command Executer
4. In Command Executer create a new DWORD called AsyncProcessLimit
5. Set the decimal value to 100
6. Restart the Health Service.

Now occasionally we get the following error and the notification fails, we need to restart the health service on both MS to reset the counter.

Maximum Number of Asynchronous Responses (100) has Been Reached.

We are looking for a permanent solution to fix this issue. Also can anyone provide an official link/document stating the limitation of using command channel for executing third party script?

thanks in advance.

Thank you Gautam,

We already have our corporate SMS solution, currently used for other notifications (which can be accessed through .vbs script).  Management wants to leverage the same for SCOM notification as well.

we are looking for some solution to overcome the limitation of Command channel.
