SCOM 2012SP1 - edit custom monitors

Hello All,

I'm wondering if it's possible to edit custom created unit monitors? I've created several and later realized that I used the wrong class. When I open them up the monitor and attempt to change the class it's greyed out.  Anyone have a remedy to this?

Thank you for your assistance!

You can't change the target class after you have created the monitor. You need to recreate it from scratch.

It is better to recreate it from scratch.

However, you may change the target class of your custom monitor

1) export MP, containing monitor , you want to change it target class

2) Edit xml file by modify its Target properties of unit monitor

3) Import the modified MP into SCOM
