SCOM2012 agent installation in cluster

Hi!

One question about SCOM2012 agent in cluster. In the documention about this it says:

To begin monitoring computers in a cluster, perform the following steps:

  1. Install an agent on all cluster nodes (computers).
  2. Enable agent proxy on all cluster nodes. For more information

The agent on the active cluster node will perform all monitoring. If the node fails, the agent on the cluster node that clustering fails over to will begin monitoring, but the agent on the failover node will have no awareness of anything the agent on other node had monitored previously, such as alerts, state changes, and so forth. The agents are independent.

It dosen't say anything about the state for the agent service... Shall the System Center Management service be started in both the physical servers in the cluster and the Startup Type shall it be Automatic?

Yes, on both Physical Servers, System Center Management service should be started and Type shall be Automatic.

And on both Agent, you must enable agent proxy, to can monitor Virtual cluster Node, and it will be appear in agentless tab.
