SCOM2012R2: HealthService Handle Count

We're receiving "HealthService Handle Count" alerts on 3 out of our 10 new installed management servers. This trigger a restart of the healthservice when 30K treshold is exceeding. This happens 1-2 times a day.

All management servers are running SCOM 2012 R2 UR4 on Windows Server 2012 R2 (version 6.3 build 9600). The SCOM environment is 'empty' without any agents and just the management packs that comes out of the box.

All servers is up to date when it comes to OS patches.

I've checked the event log as well. The only event is a warning (eventID 10103) w/msgs: "In PerfDataSource, could not resolve counter instance OpsMgr DW Writer Module, Avg. Batch Size, All Instances. Module will not be unloaded."

I don't think this is related? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi,

I would like to suggest you tune the threshold according to your handle count baseline.
