SBS Server 2011 When i ping a particular device by ip address it resolves the server's own address... Help!!!
Hi Guys, I have a client on SBS server 2011 and it started out that a NAS box attached on the network could not be contacted, this was mapped by name so i thought i would try and map it by IP... I couldn't get it to map either way, so i pinged the NAS 192.168.0.8 and to my surprise it resolved another address 192.168.0.15. so then i tried to ping it from the server and it resolved 192.168.0.4 (it's own address) so i flushed the dns on the pc, i flushed the dns cashe on the server and i am still cant get the server to ping the correct address. i can't now test the other pc's as i am 30 miles away and the office is now closed... I am a bit stuck so any suggestions are very much appreciated. Cheers, TTrevor Cross
