Running WHQL & Longhorn with the DTM
Has anyone tried running the Logo tests using the DTM on Longhorn? When trying to configure the Submission and the systems that will be used; SC (subordinate clients), MC (mater client) and SUT (system under test); we cannot get the System Naster Config test to complete while all the systems are in a domain, but they will complete when in a Workgroup. The trouble is that you can't change the Role of a particular system when in a WorkGroup, the Roles are all StandAlone. We will get Winsock and protocol errors when in the domain even though all systems can see each other; transfer files etc, etc. The FireWall is turned off on all Systems; Network Discovery works fine on all systems. Has anybody seen or even tried the Logo tests using the DTM?

Hi Jimmyt I think you will have better luck asking this question in the developer focused newsgroups. Take a look at all your options here: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/resources/support/default.mspx Middle of this page you find this: Using Microsoft-monitored public newsgroupsSpecific questions about Windows driver development can often be answered by developers that have experienced similar challenges. Microsoft driver developers, testing professionals, and Windows DDK support professionals participate in these public newsgroups:microsoft.public.development.device.driversmicrosoft.public.win32.programmer.kernelmicrosoft.public.windbg In addition to these Microsoft-monitored public newsgroups, driver developers are encouraged to post questions in the numerous third-party newsgroups and list servers on driver development available on the Internet. For example, Open System Resources (OSR), Inc. hosts three e-mail lists for driver developers: NTDEV - Dedicated to the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Windows kernel-mode drivers NTFSD - For developers of Windows file system or file system filter drivers Discusses issues, best practices, and tips for debugging Windows drivers For instructions on how to participate in OSR-hosted list servers, visit: http://www.osronline.com/page.cfm?name=ListServer Hope this helps.
