Run SqlCE as LOCAL only

Hi,

I noticed that SqlCE databases check external connection settings when it attempts to connect to a local .sdf file.

For instance, if you have the automatically detect connection settings checked in IE, it will make SqlCe connections slower (even if it is to a local .sdf file)

My question is, do I have a setting improperly configured that is causing this?  Or to rephrase, is there a way to tell the Sql CE connection that the database is local and do not examine the network?

An easy fix is to disable your local area connection, and then connections to the local database are instantaneous.  Obviously this is not practical and I am hoping there is a setting that can bet configured to obtain the same result.

Thanks!
