Roaming profiles
Hi, We should divided to two conditions to disable roaming profile: 1. The roaming profile is configured by the group policy “Set roaming profile path for all users logging onto this computer” under computer configuration, administrative templates, system, user profile. In this condition, we should at first disable the policy. We could also enable the policy “Only allow local user profile”. 2. If the roaming profile path is configured under ADUC user properties profile tab, we should clear the Profile path. Hope this helps. I have the following setup: Windows Server 2008 R2, and 10 Windows 7 Pro workstations. Roaming Profiles and folder redirection are currently enabled. I would like to disable Roaming Profiles. What is the correct procedure for this?

1. Change the GPO and force the GPO update while users are logged in. Do a test before you will do it in the production environment. 2. The following is procedure on the client. This does not preserve the profile and create new one from default profile: http://www.grouppolicy.biz/tag/roaming-profile/ 3. In the case of redirection it depends on you initial settings when you defined the policy, that took into account the possibility to move redirected folders back, you are saved from tedious recovery.
