Roaming Profiles Taking Control ??
The place i am working at now has a server setup with roaming profiles, the system admin has gone into the server and added me to the folder.
I have full controll over the folder just like him, yet i cant take "owernship" of any folder in the profiles folder ..
The server is runing 2008 R2 ... we are stumped because we both have the same pressions when you right click on the folder and look at the sercuity, yet when i try to right click on a users folder to take owernship the secuirty tab is not there ..
any thoughts ???

Hi,
Please run regedit to launch Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer and delete the
Nosecuritytab value.
If it does not work, please refer to the following link for more troubleshooting information:

Thank You Arthur_Li for the information , but that link talks mostly about windows NT and not 2008 rs server ..
I dont think its a file naming issue either , becuase the path is not that long its very simple ..
\\servername\profiles\username
i will check that registery key on the server to see if it is there .. i checked for it on my desktop and it didnt show up anywhere in the registy ..
thanks for the help .. and lets hope it works ...

also server is running 2003 not 2008 like i was told .. not sure if that makes a differece or not ..
