Reverse Zone Question
I have two ForestsForest A single name ( ELA) ( Miltidomains ) on windows 2000 with 4 Dcs , Dns, Wins and DHCP in Root domain and each domain child has two Dcs ( Dns, Dhcp and Wins).each Domain has it's own subnet.there is revese zone with delegation for each domain child dns.ex: 172.20.X.X > 8 (ex of PTR : computer.ela) >16 >24 >etcwe are migrating to new Forest BIn Forest B on windows 2008 ( domain name Torano.tld) , with Unique domain ( all child domains will be consolidate in OU)we create the same revese zoneex: 172.20.X.X > 8 ( PTR ex :computer.Torano.tld ) >16 >24 >etcMy question is there problem to have the same revese zone name ?thank You MCSE 2003

there is technically no issues with it. it can get a little tricky when you want to do a reverse lookup from one forest for resources in the other forest but that is typically a fairly rare behavior. /richhttp://cbfive.com/blog

you right,we will keep the ressource in forest A and uses will be in Forest Band there is a forwading betwwen forests.MCSE 2003
