Reverse Proxy
Hi, We are currently in the process of moving data centres. We have some web services servers in our current site and I would like to setup our new site and then use reverse proxy to direct the traffic to our new site. I have read the ISA server and IIS 7.5 have the ability to do this. We do not have the option of simply changeing our DNS records as some customers have the IP address of the website hardcoded in their systems. If we can use this method or some other method to redirect the traffic to the new site it would make the transition to the new data centre much smoother. The web services servers in question talk to app servers inside the network who in turn talk to a DB. Everything will be replicated on the new site although we will be moving from Windows 2003 IIS 6 to Windows 2008 R2 IIS 7.5. My biggest area of concern is that I am not sure it will be possible to redirect traffic that has come from the Internet back out to the Internet on the same interface of our Firewall/Router. Any pointers regarding reverse proxy or any other solutions which may help with our move to the new data centre would be very much apreciated. Many thanks, JP
