Dear Bill. For example: DHCP Configuration Range: 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254 If I want to configure MAC Address: 0011223344 for PC1 with IP: 192.168.1.1 and others non-listed address will not able to get entry of 192.168.1.2 to 254. Then I have to pre-created item which fill-in name e.g. Reserve2 for 192.168.1.2 ... Reserve 254 for 192.168.1.254. Thus no others machine will get available IP except PC1? It seems much trouble of configuration. Joe.

Hi Joe, Thanks for posting here. > If I want to configure MAC Address: 0011223344 for PC1 with IP: 192.168.1.1 and others non-listed address will not able to get entry of 192.168.1.2 to 254. With DHCP reservation , yes we can do such restriction. Meanwhile, combining Callout DLL for MAC Address based filtering feature with the reservation we can achieve that better. Just FYI ,the MAC address based filtering had been integrated in Windows Server 2008 R2 DHCP service, so may I know which OS are we using now ? http://blogs.technet.com/b/teamdhcp/archive/tags/mac+filtering/ Regards, Tiger Li TechNet Subscriber Support in forum If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tnmff@microsoft.com.Tiger Li TechNet Community Support
