Restoring a sql server

Hallo

Hope somebody can assist, I'm in a bit of trouble.

A while back I create a new SQL instance with all the necessary tables the ladies started to capture data, I then lost the main HDD got a backup folder with two folders, MSAS10_50.BUSINESSQL and MSRS10_50.BUSINESSQL I got no idea how to restore with these two folders, the folders combined is about 2GB big, so sure it's all there, just how the resore this again.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you have backups of your databases that you need to restore,

Then Using SSMS, restore the backup file as mentioned here 

Else if you have the database files(mdf and ldf) then you can attach the files and take the databases online as mentioned here

Thank, Ok have the MDF files, so I need to create a new instance of SQL and then attached the database as explained in your post?

Just need to confirm that I need to create a new instance? I'm starting fresh, just reinstalled SQL.

When you have installed SQL, you should have a default or a named instance by now. You can attach the files under that instance.

All Up and running again, I create a new instance and attach the database, working perfect again.
