I took back of my windows 2012 physical server and the file it created is in VHDX format. I have the backup file copied to another location. Now i completely wiped off the array on this server, re-created the arrays in the same form like before. Now how do i get my bare metal server restored to previous state using VHDX file? This is very confusing , there is no proper documentation on how to back and restore physical servers. Any help is appreciated.

Do you copy the whole WindowsImageBackup folder to another location? You cant do a complete restore from the VHDX file, you must keep the XML, Backup<date> <time>,Catalog, SPPMetadataCache and MediaId files together to do a complete restore.
