Restart windows server

i have a requirement where i have to restart a windows server from scom 2012 (using a script), currently i dont have any event id or log files which i can use, the only information i have here is the alert from the monitor. Can i use the alert for restarting the server using a script? What would be the best practice here that needs to be followed, Also if i want to use command channel command line what parameters can i use?
