Reporting tools for 2003 CA and 2008 CA
For PKI health status you should consider to use PKIView.msc MMC snap-in. For database statistics you should consider to use Certification Authority MMC snap-in. As far as I know there is no any unified tool for that.My weblog: http://en-us.sysadmins.lv PowerShell PKI Module: http://pspki.codeplex.com

Ok thanks. I hadn't come across any myself so thought as much, the console in 2003 has it's limitations so wondered if anyone in community knew of something else.

Anyone recommend any built-in or 3rd party tools for reporting on CA health and database statistics ? number of certs, revoked etc. I am aware of other methods of extracting some of this information but interested to know if Microsoft or other vendors have developed anything.

By console limitations I mean lacking in detailed filters and reporting features and ways to interrigate the database for statistics.

if you need custom reproting solution you should consider to write your own by using COM interfaces: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa380253(VS.85).aspx especially look at ICertAdmin and ICertView interfaces. My weblog: http://en-us.sysadmins.lv PowerShell PKI Module: http://pspki.codeplex.com
