Report Server is responding very slowly.

Hi,

We have a server and on which we have installed the reporting services and  the report manager URL to access the reports is http://<server>/Reports.

When I try to access the report manager from my local machine using the URL, it is taking the longer times to show the reports/folders on the report server. But when I try locally by logging into server, it's working fine.

Any thoughts to improve the server response times would be appreciated.

here lot of things to consider, but first check the internet speed and next your server load.

Is this all the time, or just the first time.  There is always a "spin up" time when the site is accessed for the first time.  The site automatically shuts down after about 10 mins of inactivity.

Hello,

Did you run any anti-virus software on your computer? If so, please try to disable the anti-virus software to check whether the issue persists.  You can also obtain an ASP.NET fix from Microsoft Customer Support Services.
