Replicating a storage space in hyper v replica

Hello All,

I have successfully implemented hyper v for my 3 customers and one of them wants to test with hyper v replica features

their concern is I have some Virtual Machines which has wwpn number and san switch is created into the same.

so just wanted to know that will those disks can be included in my hyper v replica process (Replicating a storage space) or I have to use storage replica for the same ???

Hi,

No, for virtual fibre channel volumes\LUNs you must use SAN Replication.

Upcoming Storage Replica in Windows Server vNext is supposed to do what you want. You may see:

So either you'll a) wait for vNext or b) you'll use some third-party block replication software or c) you'll enable replication on your FC SAN side.
