Replace Server With New Server

My Server 2012 Essentials R2 had some problems and would not boot, So I had to reinstall it -- everything is working great now. Now this is the same machine as before.

But how do I connect my client machines again? The server name and the password -- and also the client usernames and passwords are all the same. But backups don't run, and clients and the server don't recognize each other. Will I have to uninstall the connector, change from domain to <g class="gr_ gr_13 gr-alert gr_gramm Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="13" id="13">workgroup</g>, and then again install connectors all over again?

Thank you so

Once you have reinstall the server, you have created a new object.

You will have to reconnect all your client machines to this server.

Since it has been reinstall there should not be any machines in AD. Once you will reconnect the machines using connector only then they should display under Dashboard and AD.

Thank you, Mahesh. So I do have to do this -- please correct me if I am wrong:

  1. Remove Connector from all clients.
  2. Change clients to a Workgroup from Domain
  3. Reinstall Connector so that it again changes from Workgroup to Domain.
