Renew the root certification authority effects
We have issued a large number of certificate to our users locking down our site to only users with a cert. in a number of years the certs will be expiring (all on the same day of course). We want to start issuing all new certs with an extended expiration date. So we are looking to renew the root certification authority to allow to an extended date. I am unclear what this will mean for our current certs that we have already issues. Does anyone have experience or in site on renewing the root certificate authority? Thank you!

Hello If you extend the date on the CA it will not affect the current expiration date for the issue certs, you will just renew when the time is up, except you explicitly revoke those certs before expirationIsaac Oben MCITP:EA, MCSE,MCC View my MCP Certifications

Thank you very much! I think we are just going to create a new CA which will give us a fresh start.
