I am running Server 08 standard configured as a DC. This is a single machine domain in an educational environment. The EFS recovery agent certificate is expired I tried to renew I get the "no templates found error". I have been researching this off and on all day and really need to get it resolved. This is 08 Standard so I realize it doesnt use templates, I am new to all this so I am no scripting guru and I have yet to find (maybe I'm blind) a step by step way that I can understand to resolve this issue. To this point I have tried generating a certificate using cipher and placing it evyerwhere I can think of. Deleting the existing certs and "Turning it off and back on again" using the registry. Installed the Certificate role, tried using IE but IIS isn't configured for HTTPS or so the error says (can connect via http but not https). I realize I am very new to this and this is prob a very basic question but any help would be appreciated Thanks
