Rename Root CA Certificate
I have an unusual request. Our root enterprise certificate is called Certificate and I would like to rename it. Is there a command to do this (certutil)? Would the entire chain be disrupted if it can be done?Windows Server 2008 AD/Cert server installed in a Windows 2003 domain/forest.ThanksJay

Hi, I am afraid that we cannot change the CA certificate name. You may install a new CA and stop the old CA from issuing certificates. This way, the existing certificates will remain valid.
