Removing Search Bar and Button
I would like to remove the search button and functionality from windows 2008 r2, as im using a third party utility.
As mentioned in this link here http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/10246/how-to-disable-search-in-windows-7/ you can do it in windows 7 by removing it as a feature.
However, 2008R2 doesnt have that as a feature that you can install or uninstall.
How do i get rid of it? Thank you.

I do not think you can. The Search bar also functions as a "Run" bar. If you wish to run a program, type it in, hit enter, and it runs. YOu probably already knew that :)
Anyhow, good luck...

I also consider it cannot be changed. I tried to do some research and remove features but failed to remove the Search bar.
