Hi Team
If the user tries to logoff from desktop then it comes up with – some processes which are running at the background – end process dialog box – sometimes softgrid OR cmd.exe. I monitored the process and its sftdcc.exe.
We need to stop that dialog box coming up of “end now” and “cancel” Can we fix this issue or exclude this process from logoff monitoring.
How to disable that message.

Hi Suman B. Singh,Thank you for posting in windows server forums, This behavior is seen because the process is not releasing the handles which you can use process explorer to remotely hook into the server and check the behavior. Also it is important if your application / sftdcc.exe has a correpspondig service , if so this service is hosted on SCM ( service control manager ) So when you are logging off / shutdown the system , there is hight possibility that the corresponding handles are not closed by the sftdcc.exe and hence if the app is not releasing the memory then the logoff calls / shutdown calls ( API ) halts for the process to complete , if the app / exe is not closing within specified interval , it throws up the pop-up box to manually kill the process.One of the suggested work around is to re-install the app which might help applicaiton to re-register and released any locks previously held by it .If not you need to contact the vendor for further memory dump analysis of the process.

Well We have multiple servers in which this application is installed. In all servers same issues. This happened suddenly before those it was working properly. We installed new MCAfee patches and I think its due to that one only. User has GP to control them.

Hi Suman,i have seen incompatibility with MCAfee patches earlier , and it is difficult to co-related if this is the cause. i would suggest you to open a ticket with mcafee or post your query in Mcafee forum so that engineers could helpyou to identify if the problem related to MCAfee.
