Remove windows explorer search box entirely or disable it.
Hi ;-) I would like to disable the search box in Windows explorer for users on our 2008 Terminal servers. It's not overly important how this is done. But if it can be done through GPO then that is the preferred option. Either the box shouldn't show at all or it shouldn't be possible to search for any form of data. Been searching the internet but without any luck. All I can find is how to disable the search box suggestions. I don't care about those as I want to disable the search functionality entirely. We have already disabled start menu search through GPO and I have also tried the "Do not search for files" and "Do not search for Programs" in GPO. No luch with any of them. Thank you very much.
