Remote Support But with user Approval
I wonder if any one can assist me :-) -- well i have a quick query, we are looking for remote software for our help desk team where they can connect at end-user machine when any request comes - so we need an tool which should approve the request first before connecting remotely by engineer. I have Google -- but i dint found such tools where the user should approve the remote session.. I have seen the Microsoft remote assistance and its great !!! but some of our users are not much familiar doing such job and initiating the session. Hence we need simple tool just a pop on the screen on the end-user PC and the support team can login and they can start working... So guys would you kindly let me know if you know any such tools ?? . Thanks

hi there, AFAIK, you can use the following utilities a) mstsc / RDP where in remote clients can login to the end-user machine and start working on them. but this doesnt give any pop up , neither end-user can see what the desktop team is doing. b) another tool which you can use is Live meeting , you can use live meeting which is great utility from microsoft where in you can login to remote user / end-user machine and start working , with this utility both end user can see what desktop team is doing on their desktop for more info i am attaching the link http://www.microsoft.com/online/office-live-meeting.mspxsainath

Hello,As I know, Remote desktop access doesn't provide approval function. You can try Live meeting or third party software like VNC which has the prompt approval function to do the job.

Hi Customer,
You may consider using "Offer Remote Assistance" feature to initiate remote assistance from an expert computer.
