Remote Procedure Call - Reboots system shortly after logging on
I am having this issue on a server 2003 Domain controller. The customer called initially with the security accounts manager not loading and having the system shut down. When I arrived I booted the system into active directory recovery mode and almost immediately the remote procedure call service stops and the system shuts down. I tried right clicking on the service to turn off the restart if the service quits but the system shutsdown before the property window opens. I managed to get into msconfig for a short time before the shutdown but not much help there. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. This is a production server. Once I can keep the system from shutting down I can repair or restore active directory and resolve that issue.Greg Larson

Hi, If the server could not work properly even in Directory Service Restore Mode, I suggest you try to boot it in into Safe Mode and try to change the RPC service configuration.
