Reliability Monitor not working
Hello,
I am having problems with reliability monitor not updating the reliability information. One day it simply stopped processing data and before I knew it, several days of reliability data was absent. I have taken the following actions to date:
cleared system logs
deleted the contents of the c:\programdata\rac folder
run RACAgent from an elevated command prompt
checked the task scheduler and found that the RAC task completes successfully
checked automatic services are running (they are) I am not familiar with any other services which are required for this so I may have missed one
applied Full Control permission to the c:\programdata\RAC folder
the results of all this are:
the racagent seems to complete from the command prompt and simply returns to the prompt after about a second
the events in event logs under the reliability engine appear to be informational only and shows how long the RACAgent runs for in milliseconds, apart from the ones I run manually, they seem to correlate to the task history information in task scheduler
the folders for publisheddata and statedata are recreated but no contents are inside
the reliability monitor displays the following message:
"reliability monitor collects 24 hours of data before it calculates the system stability index or generates the system stability report
either reliability monitor has been running for less than 24 hours, or reliability monitor detected data corruption and has reset. if reliability monitor has reset, any previously displayed data may no longer be available"
it has been several days and it is still not updating.
anyone have any ideas?

Hi ,Sorry for the delayed response.I see that issue is more likely with the SBS server , and i would recommend you to post your query under appropriate sbs group .The support professionals there are better equipped to assist you.
For your convenience, I’ve included the link of Windows Small Business Server discussion group:

This was not an SBS 2008 problem, it was just plain Windows 2008 problem. The problem has seemed to have gone for now, looks like carrying out those steps in my original query did work, I just didnt wait long enough. Thanks for the links and help
