Reinstall LDAPS SSL Certificate on rebuilt Windows 2003 DC
I've rebuilt a DC that previously had an LDAPS certificate on it. The server name is identical and I have the original 3rd party certificate, request file and certificate. I'm now attempting to re-install the certificate according to the following article; http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321051 I am starting at step 5, doing a "certreq -accept NewCert.cer" but get the following error; "Certificate Request Processor: Cannot find object or property. 0x80092004 (-2146885628)" As I understand things, I beleive I'm needing to utilize the private key that was generated with the original cert request. But... I'm not sure how to do so. I'm assuming the error being given relates to the fact that I've not performed a step related to the Private key.Jason Wilcox

It seems that you just skipped the steps before 5 trying to accept the old certificate without having the private, this is not going to work because you need the old key to be imported in the system. /Hasain
