Reducing RAM usage

Hi

I need help in my VPS which is running on Windows Server 2012 R2, 64 Bit OS.

I am not running any program and below is the memory usage:

In Use: 492MB, Available 520MB, Committed 0.7/1.5GB, Cached 359MB, Paged pool: 111MB, Non-Paged pool: 27.6MB

Need help to minimize RAM usage of my system so that I can run my programs smoothly and not get lags.

Any help would be appreciated on how to optimize this VPS that I have.

Thanks.

that already looks very minimal.  The minimum ram supported by Server 2012 is 2GB, please see this link for details. Depending on what programs  you are running you will likely need much more much then that, I try to have at least 4GB in all servers and 8GB or  more if needed. If you do not have the proper amount of memory for your server it will always lag due to needing to use the page file.

Hi Onlylf2,

The estimated minium RAM requirements for Server 2012 R2 is 512 MB.

I suppose it is better to add more RAM to run other programs on the server. It is better for performance.

Here is the system requirements for Server 2012 R2:
