Hi, I have a DC running server 2003. The server is also running exchange. (yes, I know, that is not advised) One of the disks of the raid 5 set is broken, and replaced by a new one. However, the raid 5 controller doesn't recognize the disk, so now it is running on 2 disks. Because this is a risk, I want to demote the DC, and convert it to a virtual machine (on HyperV). Should I reboot after the DCpromo, and try to startup the server on 2 of the 3 disks, or should I postpone the reboot and convert the server direct after the DCPromo command? Please advise
