Random Slow Response on SSRS Reports Manager 2012

Hi,

We're currently upgrading our reports manager from 2005 to 2012 and  I noticed a random slow start-up on the Reports Manager.

Initially, we have performance issue on the first user who access the reports then some workaround from this link . We configured the recycle-time to 25hrs and scheduled a SSRS subscription that runs every 6hrs (we didnt try the powershell approach as we think it's just similar to subscription?).

It did help a bit, but as we monitor the performance, we still noticed some slow-down (loading of the reports manager not viewing the data on the report)  during the day (l afternoon). But when you reload the reports manager, it's quick. I think there's a recycle in between the business hours but it's hard to tell as it is random.

We're pretty sure it's not about the memory pressure as the reports is being hosted in a 32GB ram server. Furthermore I've checked the Physical Memory usage in the task manager and it's only 13-15%.

I'm not sure what's missing here but the only thing that I could think of is increase the subscription frequency to every hour?

Many thanks

I don't think we have an issue on viewing the reports itself but rather loading the Reports Manager. It seems that it clear the cache/recycle for some reason that's why even in the middle of the day, there a slow response on the Reports Manager but when you re-access the page it's quick.
