Random Server Reboots
We have a new Dell PowerEdge T110 running Server 2008 Datacenter R2 Sp1 that is rebooting at random times.
Symptoms:
The server reboots at different times during the day at least once a day. There is no blue screen or error in event viewer prior to reboot. There is only the Kernel-Power event stating that the server rebooted unexpectedly.
Troubleshooting steps already taken:
The server passes all hardware diagnostics. We have run chkdsk and sfc. The UPS the server is attached to is new and load is at 5-7%. The server is the only device plugged into the UPS. We have tried running the server off of the
UPS and it still reboots. The server has the latest drivers and updates. I've uninstalled all non-critical software. The server has an external hard drive for backups. I detached the external hard drive and problem persists. The
server does not have any other peripherals. I have run a Windows repair and the message returned is that no problems were found.
I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

What related error message can you read in Event Viewer?
Based on the current situation, please test the issue in Safe Mode, Clean Boot and Device Clean Boot.
Please press F8 when starting the server to boot into Safe Mode.
For the detailed steps of how to enter Clean Boot, please refer to the following Microsoft KB article:

To perform a Device Clean Boot, please unplug all unnecessary devices to test your computer's performance. In this situation, your system will only have
the basic hardware devices and it should be more stable.
If it is inconvenient to unplug the devices, we can disable them in Device Manager. Please refer to the following steps:
1. Click "Start", type "DEVMGMT.MSC" in the Search textbox and press Enter. Please click “Allow” if the User Account Control window is prompted.
2. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers".
3. Right click on your Sound Card, select "Properties"
4. Click "Driver" tab, click Disable (Disable the selected device). Click OK.
5. Please use the same method to disable other hardware such as: Modem, network card, CD-R drive. Please note some devices such as video adapter are
not available to be disabled.
Then, restart your computer. Does it still crash now?
If the system is stable, we can re-enable the devices one by one to narrow down the root cause.
If it also works normally in Clean Boot, you may perform Step 2 to Step 7 to narrow down the possible cause.
What are the results in these three modes?
