Raising Domain Functional Level
Dear All,
My Current setup of the Domain is as follows. I've two DC in the primary site. (1 Windows 2003 and 1 Windows 2008). 2 DC in Remote site ( both windows 2003)
Domain Function Level: Windows 2000 Native
Forest Function Level: Windows 2000
I'm planing to raise the forest and Domain function level to windows 2003. I've two child domains in my remote locations and they are running on windows 2003 server.
We have a Mixed mode installation (supports outlook 2003, Entrouge and outlook 2007) for Exchange 2007.
Will there be any problems/issues if i raise my domain function level to windows 2003?

Hello,
as long as all DCs are at least Windows server 2003, which you already confirmed, i don't know/heard about any problems. Functional levels only effect DCs so applications are not a problem.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

this will not be issue as you running minimum 2003. but please remember you will not be able to use 2008 features still with that level.Dishan M. Francis, Senior Technology Consultant
