RS2008 Export to Excel
Recently upgraded from SSRS2005 to SSRS2008. I upgraded all of my reports and all of them are running fine except for one report. I have a report that isformated to be exported to Excel. When this gets done and the file is saved in Excel 2007 or 2003 format, the workbook cannot be shared without going into the Trust Center and unchecking the Privacy Options. This same report did not require this when using SSRS2005. The report imports correctly into Excel, I just cannot share thesaved workbook. I am pretty sure this is not anExcel issuebut cannot figure outwhy this is being set upon creation.

Thanks,

Hi Tim,

Could you provide some details about your report? or share your report here? If possible, i will try to repro your issue in my environment and then investigate it. You can try install the SQL sever 2008 sp1 to check ifit helps, from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=66ab3dbb-bf3e-4f46-9559-ccc6a4f9dc19&displaylang=ento download. However, the issue seemed to be of excel mostly, so you also canput your question in excel forumto see anyonehasencounterd.

thanks,
Jerry

We have the same (or very similar issue).  After upgrading the Native SSRS 2005 to 2008 R2 with SP3, reports exported to excel do not allow the share workbook without going through the steps of the message that pops up stating

After doing this, it allows you to share as expected but this option is inconvenient to have to perform every time you export a report.

I also tested this out in a SharePoint, that uses 2008 R2 for SSRS, and get the same results telling me to do the above.  If I open a new sheet, the Share Workbook option works as expected, so this has to be related to SSRS somehow.
