RDP Connection Failure
I have 2 servers that I built with W2K3R2. Recently the we cannot login with RDP if we use the server name, but can if we use the IP address. One caveat is that these servers have the same name as servers in another domain (migrating/building new apps), but using FQDN is not helping either. Just wondering if anyone has seen this before. Error message: Windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable, or because your computer account was not found. TIA Troy

Hello, sounds for me like DNS settings. PLease post an unedited ipconfig /all from the servers and a client you are trying it from. Additional describe in detail about your DNS setup between the domains and if they have a trust in between?Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hi, As Meinolf mentioned, please clarify the relationship between the two domains, such as DNS and trust. Please run the following commands first for troubleshooting: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig/registerdns Then, please test the result. Does the issue occur on one client? If the issue persists, please help gather the files as Meinolf asked. Thanks. Nina This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
