RASDIAL /disconnect command

Hello

Trying to disconnect a VPN connection we have using the rasdial "VPN Name" /disconnect command however I am getting the error "Remote Access error 753 -The connection could not be disconnected because the user does not have the required permissions to disconnect". Where can I edit the permissions to allow myself to do this?

Thanks

Charlie

Hi,

According to the error message, it seems related to permission problem.

Try to run CMD with administrator permission and then confirm the result. If the problem still exits, have you successfully to connect to the VPN with rasdial commend? Does the happened on specific device?

Hello

I get the same error when I run the same command in a administrative CMD. When I take the /disconnect parameter out, it connects correctly.  This is happening on multiple servers (Windows Server 2008 R2)

Hi,

I am wondering if the current logon account of the system has the dial-in permission of VPN You may try to logon the system with VPN connection account and run the commend again.
