Question about SMB protocol on Windows 7 workstations
IF SMB Version 2 protocol is enabled on Windows 7 operating systems, and these Windows 7 workstations are on Windows server 2008 R2 64bit, does the hotfix need to be applied to the workstation as well as the server? I applied the hotfix to the server but not the workstations and we are having an awful time with corrupted indexes in a visual foxpro database. article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2618096; I think we missed something.

Hi, This hotfix applies to both Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. If only applies to Windows Server 2008 R2 cannot fix the issue, please also try to install it to Windows 7 to check the result. Regards,Arthur Li TechNet Community Support
