I am migrating a physical server to virtual using Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter. I want to make sure after the conversion AD doesn't reject the new server by having to reset the computer object and rejoin to the domain. This is an exchange server and could cause further outage.

My plan is to migrate the drives once done and machine is setup, im going to disable the nicon the existing bare metal server (I will still have KVM access to machine)  and setup the virtual server with the previous IP info.

Anything I should be aware of to ensure AD doesn't cause me issuer here?
