Proxycfg -p VS Manual Proxy Configuration
Hi all, We're deploying a policy related to users proxy configuration and we see that it's possibile to set the proxy in differents ways. Is it the same thing to set the proxy with the Proxycfg -p command and to set the proxy in Internet Explorer, LAN connection tab? thanks in advance to all

Hi Fepi, Thank you for your post. Proxycfg tool allow you to establish server-to-server HTTP connection. It is sometimes necessary to run Proxycfg.exe to connect to the Internet or to other servers. Yes, you could use proxycfg -p proxy_server to setup proxy for all resources. Proxycfg command is replaced by Netsh.exe winhttp commands. Please refer to article below for ProxyCfg.exe Tools usage: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa384069(VS.85).aspx Regards, Rick Tan
