Promote Windows Server 2008 R2
Good day! We have 700+ users and two windows server 2003 r2 domain controllers, one of them acts as a primary domain controller , and the other acts as secondary domain controller , all the FSMO s are on the primary DC. we also have exchange server 2003 on our organization. Were planning on promoting an additional domain controller (windows server 2008 r2) to our existing DC (windows Server 2003 r2) and transfer all the FSMOs to it , is this possible? is this the same process in promoting windows server 2008 64 bit. Our current domain functional level is Windows Server 2003 from windows server 200 native, I tried to test it on a test environment and I didn't encounter a problem, I'm hoping that someone can provide me some tips before proceeding. any suggestion and inputs are very much welcome.
