Process for renewing an expired enterprise root CA certificate ?
Looking for correct process for renewing an already expired standalone root CA certificate ? 2003

If it is a true standalone offline root CA, you must use the following process:
1) Configure a CAPolicy.inf with the correct key settings for renewal
2) Turn back the clock on the root CA so that the certificates is not yet expired.
3) Open the Certification Authority console, and renew the certificate in the console.
