I installed SQL Server 2014 Standard on a Thinkpad Carbon which has a sceen of 2560 x 1440. It seems to work OK except SSMS user interface has too small fonts bad proportions of screen layonut. E g "attach .." has wrong proportions and buttons are almost invisible and not reachable. Runs Windows 10. Visual Studio 2015 works fine.
Hi OrjanLer,
Based on my research, several persons get the issue that SQL Server Management Studio(SSMS) does not work properly in high resolution. You can vote this issue
here or submit a new feedback to the Microsoft Connect at this link
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback .
In addition, I recommend you change the display resolution of your computer to relatively small size. And change the 'Compatibility Settings' for SSMS.exe. In SQL Server Management Studio properties, choose the Setting: 'Disable display scaling on high DPI
settings'. Then reopen SSMS to check if it works as expected.
Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
