Problem with offline folders after changed domain
We recently changed all our servers to 2008 and created a new domain seperate from the old one. We have moved all our users windows 7 client machines to the new domain.
We had a group policy set to redirect their documents and desktop files to the server. But after we joined to the new domain two computers still have sync partnerships with the old domain server that fail all the time. We can not remove
the partnership as the option is greyed out. any help would be appreciated. TIA Josh

Hello,
to understand you correct, folder redirection is configured with GPMC to the OU where the user accounts are located? And if you run rsop.msc it is shown with the correct settings?Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Yes, The folder redirections is configured with GPMC. When I run Rsop.msc it shows the correct redirection settings to the new server. There is not a setting that points ot the old server so I dont understand why I still see this partnership
when I open sync center .

Hello,

If not check the following regkey if it shows the old server:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NetCache\Shares\
!!!DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP THE MACHINE BEFORE YOU MODIFY INSIDE THE REGISTRY!!!
Have a look inside and if there is an entry to the old server you can try to remove it that way.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
