Problem with dfrgntfs.exe on 2008 server
Hello,I have a problem with one of our server running Windows 2008.Since a fewweeks, we see the dfrgntfs.exe in the list of processes, and its CPU charge is at least 50%.We have disable all schedule for defragmentation, butnothing has changed. It seems the dfrgntfs.exe starts itself, but I can't find why.Can someone help me?Is there a reason why a disk defragmentation could start on its own? Thanks in advance.

Hello, Please try the suggestions below: Click Start, type Disk Defragmenter and click to launch it. Uncheck the box before Run on a schedule (recommended) and click OK. Then click Start, click Administrative Tools, click Task Scheduler. Expand Task Scheduler Library Microsoft Windows. Click Defrag. Disable all the tasks on the middle pane. Restart the computer and test the result. Tim Quan - MSFT

Hi, I try it, and tell you in a few days if it's OK. Thanks.
